At our recent kick-off event at UCL, we invited several speakers to cover various angles on Synthetic Biology. We’re publishing these videos as the first SynBio Talks.

Our inaugural talk is by Thomas Folliard, currently studying Synthetic Biology MRes at UCL. He gives a short introduction to Synthetic Biology and explains the main principles: How Synthetic Biology builds upon genetic engineering, and how principles of abstraction and standardization allow the construction of complex new genetic circuits.
